In the first quarter of 2024, the fitness and weight loss apps category has shown varying levels of engagement and financial performance on the Android platform in Australia. Sensor Tower's data gives us a snapshot of how these apps are maintaining their foothold in the market.

AllTrails: Hike, Bike & Run experienced a fluctuating revenue trend, starting the quarter with around $12K and ending with nearly $10K. Downloads saw an initial decline from 5K to 3.5K, but rebounded to over 5.8K by the end of March. Weekly active users showed a positive trend, increasing from around 37K to nearly 47K.

Moving to Strava: Run, Bike, Hike, the app's revenue displayed an upward trend, kicking off the quarter with approximately $23K and climbing to over $34K. Downloads, however, peaked early January at around 3.3K and dipped to about 2.5K in early March, later recovering slightly to 3.2K. The weekly active users fluctuated, starting at 156K, dipping mid-quarter, and then stabilizing back to around 156K.

JustFit - Lazy Workout showed a declining trend in revenue, starting at around $5.3K and ending the quarter at about $3.3K. Downloads dropped from 5.6K to 1.8K in early March, with a slight increase to 2.6K towards the end of the quarter. Weekly active users decreased from 5.3K to around 3.4K.

MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter maintained strong revenue throughout the quarter, beginning at $31K and ending at nearly $29K. Downloads saw a gradual decrease from 3.6K to 1.8K. The app's weekly active users started at 50K, experienced a dip, and ended the quarter with a slight decrease at 38K.

Lastly, BetterMe: Health Coaching saw its revenue start at roughly $6.7K and end at about $4.5K. Downloads began at 5.3K and had fallen to 1.5K by the quarter's end. Weekly active users declined from 15.9K to 7.1K.
